14Y/O WITH muscle crampand fatigue,no hypoglycemia, FAs are released in response to glucogan injection,in muscle biopsy ,TG droplets found in myocyts DX? 1.MUSCLE phosphorylase deficiency 2-hepatic phosphorylase deficinecy 3-debranching enzyme 4-apo100 receptor deficiency 5-muscle carnitine deficiency ANSWER; 5 WELL,I UNDERSTAND the diz but just do not get how TG are accumulated in muscl.as far as i know TG only made in liver ,adipos tissue and heart after TG been lysed the FA go to muscle and go under B-oxidation,,,acetylcoA WHEN THERE IS PROBLEM with carnitin Boxidation will not happen and FA (better say fatty acylcoA)ACCUMULATE. now how come we have TG accumulation in say skeletal musle?! what am i missing here?
