Hello Everyone, I'm new to this site and am studying for the step1 USMLE. I have a question...
Goljan says that you need glucose to reabsorb Na. And in marathon runners they lose a hypotonic solution (which causes hypernatremia). My question is Why does the marathon runner drink gatorade which includes glucose AND sodium in its solution? Thanks.
