Please help if you can

When a questions asks what changes in pressure tak place to arterial pressure during systolic and diastolic do they mean the blood pressure in the aorta?

The answers were from either 120 mmhg to 100 mmhg, 80 to 120, 100 to 120 and a couple of others. So any help on what they are asking and why it happens.
