Caput succedaneum is edema of the scalp due to the pressure caused during labor and delivery. In contrast to Cephalhematomas, these swellings extend beyond suture lines.

plethora (ruddy complexion) , ther r LGA ( big babies) ,have tremors/jitters , dec Mg ,dec Ca2+ ,RDS is common ,Hypertrophic cadiomyopathy and other congenital cardiac defects like VSD,ASd common , polycythemia and inc bilirubin also .
