how to distinguish kerley's line and fibrosis?

Thank you!

base upon CXR only ?

Kerley lines are two types : A ,B

Kerley A is vertical and perihilar however

Kerley B is short horizontal lines mostly in lung bases and at the periferal parts that can be a manifestation of HF but

in fibrosis there is a reticulonodular pattern which is irregular and may be more prominant in bases or apex according to etiology .they are distributed over both periferal and perihilar parts and are not short or horizontal .

thank you, nightflight1945.

DrAlex_76, it is based on CXR.
