 Tetralogy of Fallot

Cyanosis was noticed in baby after two weeks of birth. This was diagnosed as a condition known as Fallot's Tetralogy. As a result of this condition, the child would be out of breath on exertion and its fingers and toes were clubbed. Can you explain why the child had clubbed toes and fingers?
