Hey guys,
I was listening to the Kaplan Videos and I got confused about the control of the adrenal cortex. Is the entire contex under dual control, or its just the zona glomerulosa thats under dual control? can someone clarify that for me. thanx

can you pls clarify what you mean by dual control?

just to be on the same page....

I think you are talking about control of ACTH and A-II on zona glomerulosa .......the yeah its only zona glomerulosa that has both the effects because A-II controls aldosterone levels not cortisol or sex hormones so it controls glomerulosa only...i hp i answered your Q...

additionally zona glomerulosa has a feed back from potassium levels as well.....
