First, I'd like you look at previous post for Fragile X... what do you think about inheritance ? Second... affected males have CGG repeats in somatic cells only. Why? Can somebody explain? Thanks

hey sigh, yah i read up on it, i guess i learned just triple repeat but figured since every vignette i read is about a boy having it and that he had to have goten his x gene from his mom, so i figured xlr, but i answers.com the topc and found that it is for sure X-linked but no one knows for sure.. since it is a mutation of FMR-1 gene which is on X gene... so good call, not really sure.. if we can't find answer anywhere, i doubt they can ask it since it's got different answers.. just know it's triple repeat of CGG, which is more than enuff to know..
