Hiya Folks,

I was wondering how much more difficult would it be to get into a combined family medicine-pyschiatry or internal medicine-pyschiatry residency versus a traditional pyschiatry residency.

I would appreciate any information or advice you can give me before I spend the money on applying to the limited number of combined medicine-pyschiatry residency programs.

I don’t know much about this, but I would think it is a little bit harder as the seats are less. Definitely possible for an FMG.

I have a bigger question if u r in need of a visa, all Combined Residency programs are non-accredited. Would they still be able to do ur visa????

dear orange
i am not sure, but i think combined programs have fewer people per seat for interview
so i thought it was easier.
but if it is wrong please do correct me
your inputs are highly desirable
