A 22-year-old otherwise healthy diver sustains a wound while diving in the Gulf of Mexico and presents with a temperature of 100.6°F and a draining leg wound with surrounding warmth, redness, tenderness, and
swelling. Which of the following antibiotics is LEAST appropriate?

(A) Ciprofloxacin

(B) Ceftriaxone

(C) Cefazolin

(D) Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole

(E) Cefuroxime

  #2

D TMP-SMX

  #3

C-cefazolin

  #4

I will go with D too, since most commonly used in UTI infections

  #5

I think D is the corect choice that is should not be given in this patient.
