Papillary necrosis is associated with all of the following except:
a. Analgesic abuse
b. Diabetes Mellitis
c. Medullary sponge kidney
d. Alchoholism
e. Sickle cell anemia

i am really confuse between medullary sponge kidney and alchoholism. Can anybody explain???

is the answer D?
as for medullary cystic disease....
genetic disorder, positive family history
progressive renal disorder with onset in childhood
defect-cysts in the medulla associated with cortical tubular atrophy and interstitial fibrosis.
ends in chronic renal failure
