I've read from a book that IUGR fetus is different from smal-for-dates fetus, but it doesnt say what the difference is.

So does anyone know what is the difference between these two??

i guess small for dates baby is just a value..look at the weight at a given age and judge

IUGR refers to the trend too..the baby may have an absoloute normal weight, but if we look at the growth curve, he/she might have not grown as much..

it is such a thin line between them. this artricle differentiates them nicely.
