garding i s something that rlates to differentiation of the tumor cells we normally say that the tumor are either well differetiated or moderately differtiated or undiffertiated. this is grading.usually the more undiffertaited the tumor is the more agressivley it behaves. grading is done on histological findings

An estimate of level of malignancy (grading and staging) is helpful for prognosis and determination of type of treatment. Grading is based on - 1) Degree of differentiation (Grade 1 - Well differentiated, Grade 4 - anaplastic) 2) Rapidity of growth (Low grade: 3-5 mitoses/10 HPF; High grade: > 15 mitoses/10 HPF)
