3years old-girl is adimitted to hospital because of generalized petechia.her blood count show anemia and neutropenia, the best initial diagnostic step is to order

a-antiplatelet antibodies
b-reticulocyte count
c-bone marrow biopsy
d-an osmotic fragility test
e-antinuclear antibodies

its bone marrow biopsy

bone marrow biopsy i think.

bone marrow biopsy.....

bone marrow biopsy

bone marrow

Bone marrow biopsy

bone marrow biospy

initial diagnostic step reticulocyte count.

Harrison 13th edition page 1755

bone marrow biopsy is final & not the initial step

though bone marrow biopsy is the final step, wht ur gooing to get from retic count ?
as neutropaenia and thrombocytopaenia are present i go for bm biopsy

bone marrow

i guess we can't argue against Harrison, but it would be good if we know the explanation of going first with reticulocyte count.
