The causative organism of cholera, Vibrio cholerae, has been recognized for 100 years. Outbreaks of cholera often reach epidemic proportions; the history of seven pandemics can now be traced. The most recent only just now appears to be subsiding. Which one of the following is the spread of this infection, enhanced by modern transportation?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

1) fomites

2) mosquitoes

3) contaminated food sources

4) person-to-person

5) domestic flies

right, i think i got this one wrong. the answer should be 3-contaminated food sources.

what do you think they mean by "enhanced by modern transportation?"

Enhanced by modern transportation may mean different things.

But if you have food and you carried to India, then the modern transportantion may enhance the disease clolera

Or the infected food by cholera is able to be transported from India to America

Just think of SARS, how SARS was transported by modern airplane from Asia to America
