COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHATS SAVAGE SYNDROME? DOES IT CAUSE PRIMARY OR SECONADRY AMENNORHEA?

  #2

hi jaiswalk, savage syndrome is also known as the ovarian resistance syndrome. this is a congenital condition characterised by failure of the ovaries to respond to FSH and LH due to a defect in the receptors. patients present with primary amenorrhea and absence of secondary sexual characteristics.

hi jaiswalk, could'nt confirm if its primary or secondary...but i did manage to confirm that it is a congenital disease in which there is a defect in the receptors of FSH and LH ...and if that is the case then the ovary must have never responded to FSH/LH...logically i think it must be primary...but i am not sure.

did you find anything ?

hi achilles,

i found the same that since it is congenital it should be primary only, so sticking to that only for the moment... if i find anything else, will sure post it...

hey thanks a lot
