Hmmm...is it cos the diarrhea in kids causes a hypotonic loss of fluid???

It says in Kaplan in general fluids used are in
<1 year = .22%Ns+5%Ds
1-3 year = .33 Ns and 5% DS
>3 year = .45Ns +5% Ds

that was in my mind when i awnsered , i looked again , and its also said that bith RL and NS are ok for rehydration and there is another criteria written on basis of serum Na+ . anyways i will still choose the same awnser.
