The Croatian lifting equipment market expands significantly to X dollars in 2021, an increase of X% over the previous year. However, consumption showed strong growth during the period under review. During the period under review, the market peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (X units) is the main destination for Croatian hoisting equipment exports, accounting for X% of total exports. In addition, exports of lifting equipment to Bosnia and Herzegovina exceeded three times that to Egypt (X units), the second largest destination. In third place is Slovenia (X units) with an X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina totals +X%. Exports to other major destinations recorded the following average annual export growth rates: Egypt (X% per annum) and Slovenia (-X% per annum).
The largest markets for Croatian hoisting equipment exports by value are Slovenia ($X), Egypt ($X) and Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X), which together account for X% of total exports. Serbia and Slovakia were slightly behind, combined with a +X% CAGR for X, with the highest growth in export value among the top destination countries during the review period, while the other leaders saw more modest growth in shipments.
Import scale of hoisting equipment in Croatia
In 2021, Croatia’s imports of hoisting equipment fell slightly to X units, about the previous year. Overall, however, imports recorded significant growth. The fastest growth was recorded in 2014, with imports increasing by X%. As a result, imports peaked at X units. Import growth will remain low between 2015 and 2021.

During the period under review, imports hit an all-time high of $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In 2021, Austria (X units) is the largest supplier of lifting equipment to Croatia, accounting for X% of total imports. In addition, lifting equipment imported from Austria was twice as high as the number recorded by the second largest supplier, Italy (X units). Slovenia (X units) ranks third in terms of total imports with a share of X%.

The average annual growth rates of imports for the remaining supplier countries are as follows: Italy (+X% per annum) and Slovenia (-X% per annum). Austria ($X) is the largest lifting equipment supplier to Croatia by value, representing X% of total imports. In second place is Italy ($X) with X% of total imports. It is followed by Slovenia with an X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual value growth in Austria is +X%. The average annual growth rates of imports for the remaining suppliers are as follows: Italy (+X% per annum) and Slovenia (+X% per annum).
Statistics of various crane suppliers in Croatia
Austria is Croatia’s largest supplier of lifting equipment by value, accounting for 47% of total imports. In second place is Italy, which accounts for 21% of total imports. It is followed by Slovenia with a share of 19%.
The largest markets for Croatian hoisting equipment exports by value are Slovenia, Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which together account for 86% of total exports. Serbia and Slovakia are slightly behind, with a combined 12 percent.
In 2021, the average export price of lifting equipment will be US$2,735 per unit, a year-on-year increase of 26%.
The average import price of hoisting equipment in 2021 will be US$3,389 per unit, a year-on-year increase of 34%.
