Hi, I am new to this forum and this forum has given me a lot of info, for the same I thank all of you who have been interacting here. I hope someone can clarify the following doubts. *1) If I give Step 3 in California or Pennsylvania can I later apply for temp state licence in missouri. *2) What does the 7 year waiver for MD/PHD mean. Does it mean that you need to have done both MD and PHD or either one of them. Thanks in advance. aizza

1 YES. In fact get Step 3 out of the way ASAP no matter where you live or what your plans in life are. You might even decide to do a nonmedico job for a while (ie selling pharmaceuticals) and want to come back later and do a residency. Dont let the 7 year itch sneak up on you or face doing all three USMLEs over. 2 BOTH. This is a medical scientist program where MD and PhD are combined shaving off a year of training that the two seperate would take.
