i know about non-nucleoside RT inhibitors that cause lactic acidosis..AZT causes megaloblastic anemia...i have to look it up for AZT

Hi all

I can't remember where I first heard about acetaminophen and lactic acidosis. Maybe in Step Up? Just had a look on the Net and lists it. The proposed mechanism is that the acidosis is secondary to poisoning of hepatic lactate uptake and metabolism.

Hope it helps!
