Please help me to know

How beta blocker cause masking for hypoglycemia in diabetic patients ??

  #2

Many of the symtoms that patients with diabetes experience due to hypoglycemia are mediated by beta-adrenergic receptors, thus drugs that blocks these receptors can mask the symtoms of hypoglycemia. The adrenergic response is also involved in the induction of glycogenolysis in hypoglycemia, so this may also contribute.
