Can you get a paradoxical emboli with an VSD or is it only possible to get a paradoxical emboli with an ASD?
I think ASD is more common in adults that's why they mention it , but with VSD it also possible
It may be possible but I believe that the pressure gradients are strongly in disfavor of paradoxical embolies traveling between the ventricles.

its possible to have it from both ASD and VSD. but ASD is more common. The pt scenario for USMLE might a pt with DVT has a stroke expected cardiac abnormality would be ASD.
