for a practising clinician, this book is all that is required for CS. the way to use it is to actually practise the cases like the real thing. print out the form that is used for the write up at the exam and also print out each case. give it to a friend and let him/her be the SP. then write down your case summary. it is best to time yourself like in the real thing. if done this way, the exam is a walkover. you can prepare for it in 2weeks.

I only used this book to prepare for Step 2 CS and I passed. Some of the cases I had were not covered in First Aid, but still I could handle them. This book is enough, specially if you want to prepare in a short amount of time.

i find this book very freindly and useful in preparing the CSA. it is complementary material to USMLE world though.
it is a very good book to start with to get the idea.

great book, the practice cases are really good to practice with a partner and the minicases give you a quick overview and are great to repeat quickly.i guess first aid books are always a good choice since most of us are so familiar with them.i highly recommend this book!
