So far, so good. USMLEWorld is at a good price and good way to practice stamina. I'll tell you how well I do in July.

A MUST for step 2 ck!! got a 99 thanks to it. If there where TV commercials for usmle world I would be on it talking about how great it is and how it saved my life jijiji a true masterpiece. Prepares you for the worse, and once you take the exam it turns out to be much easier!!!

very good resource for step 2 ck. very detailed and concise too. teh questions are more picky than the real exam but taht means you dont get any surprises at the exam. very good explanations too. you can follow your trend and see how you are doing per subject. i will advise doing random tests all teh time and also to do only unused questions till they are used up before one goes on to doing incorrect questions. in this manner over time you can see the trend that you are actually improving based on new knowledge acquired.

Hello everyone! I need either moral support and advice, I'm taking my Step2 CK in 2 weeks and my average score on the USMLEWorld Qbank is 54 What do you think? is that as bad as I feel? I'm very tempted to push my exam back a few weeks, but on the other hand I think I can prepare for it in that time... Please, I need levelheaded advice on this one... Thx!!

It's time for celebration, I've got 99/244, I am so happy right now, jumping out of joy. Used Blueprints in all subjects+secrets from Brochert+FA
Scores: UW 66%
Kaplan 80%
NMS between 75-80%,did only half of the book
Mock exam 88%, it was very easy also
Didn't do CCSSA
Definitely would recommend UW. Kaplan q bank seemed too easy.

received my score today 252/99. i remember i had come back from exam feeling low and was worried as to what i kind of score i will get.i m grateful to my friends in this forum who encouraged me that day.thanks
i studied for 2 months full time. my bible was cmdt. i read it 3 times (not cover to cover)and kaplan notes for other subjects.but it was the qbanks which helped me i guess especially uSmle world. those questions are difficult but good for practice.i think UW simulates exam pretty closely.
in my majority of questions were long and the ones where i had to think till the last question.

hi friends
i got my score …i got 99(254) &iam extremely thankful to all the forum friends for the healthy discussions,&suggestions..my special thanks to sunny for his sincere opinions &sugestions..i just thought of sharing my experience since i have been greatly benefited by forum &the former posts..
i prepared for 3months (march first week to end of may.)first 2months were casual with many interruptions(in actual terms accounted for 6 weeks) &last month was very intensive..studied full time..
read kaplan notes (2001 edition)for surgery.psych.supplemented with blue print for paeds& obg...obg ,I did not have the actual kaplan notes &read Kaplan nmsr review which contains flow charts, treatment protocol ,&few next step qs…this was supplemented with bp in the etiology &patho aspects..the advantage of Kaplan nmsr for obg wasthat revision was very easy ,practically taking less than a day to cover all aspects of obg..but the intiation part was tough in that the flow charts had to b understood ..i took the help of audio cds of kaplan to do this...medicine,I directly did qs &did not read anything…
i started with kaplan videos & audio(which i bought from someone &were incomplete) for surgery,&obg since these were the subjects that I had totally lost touch with…while listening to audios(which took 2-1/2 -3 weeks combined for both, since I had interruptions ) ,I used to go thru the material..I added the extra notes& hints for me to remember..at the endof audio I had gone thru Kaplan notes once..i again revised it which took about 2-3 days for each..also marked the aspects of blue prints(only obg &paeds) that I had to read for next revision..so that I could touch only these aspects..i had lot of interruptions &psych was done totally from Kaplan..i did paeds from Kaplan which I found was not totally sufficient..added the required aspects of bp to supplement..meaning ,went through bp along with Kaplan &marked the required aspects..
after this first round I did Kaplan q book which averaged 78-80%..i was bad at paeds, which had to b patched which I tried in my next round…after 2nd revision,I did q bank Kaplan &q book again..i could not get an estimate of q bank since it was in a cd & I did not enroll(i guess this money can b utilised for usmle world)..i guess it ranged from to 75-85%..paeds was again bad…I added the totally unknown aspects of the qs while reviewing the answers to my notes so that I could review this without doing qs again..first reading took me 11/2 months(includ qs)..next reading took 5 weeks r so(with qs)..but both these had many interruptions..so I believe if done uninterruptedly, less than 9 weeks would b sufficient.. then I did Kaplan simulated test which averaged 81%,usmle qs from nbme which was 45/46,43/46&42/46..did nms qs which in which i scored 82%..bythis time I was left with 3 weeks for the exam..took cssa form 1 &got 740…&I did my 3rd rev almost halfway in a week,by then I was hearing so much about usmle world that I badly was tempted to do that ..&I invested the form -2 cssa money into usmleworld which was really worth..thanks to sunny for his suggestion..i did all the qs &reviewd them once in 10 days & this gave me 76%..however my lowest test was 57% in one test.& in next 4 days I reviewd all the answers of all tests again &also reviewed all wrong qs ..i had almost done usmleworld twice in 14 days....alongw with this I revised my notes that I had added on the sides of topics in Kaplan since this contained the answers to my wrong qs in q bank ,&qbook, simulated cds in the last 4 days...the day before the exam I had retained 2 tests of usmle world untouched so that I don’t lose touch seeing fresh mcqs which might take me more time to adjust in the first 2 sections of the actual test next morning..however after all these I did not get sleep for 2 nights continuosly before the exam the reason of which idont know even today..iwas not at all stressed & I tried to go to bed at 8 pm itself but never got sleep till early morning….this happened even with my step-1....i w as very tired ,nauseated &had a severe headache in themorning of the test,…by gods grace I managed to finish with the exam..usmle world greatly helped in timing &I was finishing every section very fast with all the tiredness &headache…i think I could do my exam only bcos of the intensive handling of the tough qs of usmle world in the last 14 days..&iam really grateful to sunny for this….after the exam iwas so exaused that I could not think back to assess how I had performed..i had to sleep for 15 hours continous to come out of the exhaustion..the qs were quite different from the all the q banks but the subject which u learn out of all the q banks is what is applied &most useful rather than the review materials u use..i feel one should do as many qs as possible &continue with this till the exam rather than reviewing theory for the last week..try to do some fresh qs the day bfore,&don’t worry about that score…this will help u to adjust with the new qs in exam very fast…otherwise u may lose time in ur first section trying to do so…
dont worry about the scores u get in the q banks if its low...just try to know which is ur weak subject &do more with that...exam is a different situation &u dont know if the same performance will repeat irrespective of high /low scores that u get in theses tests.. more importantly the material u get in these qs should b reviewed very well so that u don’t miss a question out of that next time & this should b the purpoe of these q banks rather than elating or depressng urself with the performance in these..this was my experience with the step-2 night mare..one more word is,if any of u happen to get this problem of sleepless night the day bfore the exam, don’t panick..in reality it psychologically kills u more than physically..keep ur courage &ur efforts will not go waste..in my view,if u have 2-1/2 months for ur step -2,u have more than enough time..its the fear which kills ¬ the exam…good luck to everyone & thanks again for all the great help u did to me thru this forum..
regards

I agree with the above comments. i took my exam 2 days ago and i felt very confident especially i did not look at the labs since usmleworld has so many qts with labs; this saved me a lot of time. this is a must source.

Great source of questions for step 2 ck.
Their questions are excellent: board-style format, content, length, and, probably, compareable difficulty. Explanations are detailed, with wrong answers explained (in almost every case), and followed by short educational objective.
I subscribed for a month before my exam, and that was more enough to get all questions done. Tech support was very good and fast responding.
From financial side - very good value, 1700+ questions for $75 for 30 days.
So, I would highly recommend this source. (i passed step 2 with very high score)
