Great book. I liked it very much. Use it with First Aid. This book won't offer vignetes or lots of illustrations but has most of the other things to offer. Cover the short comings of this book with the First Aid. At times you might need to open your text book to cover more details. Smooth pace, fast and easy reading. I thanks to the authors to provide such a nice book. Do questions from a source like Kaplan etc. Remember there is no one Excellent step 2 book, so learn to make a nice pretty digestable mixture for the exam.

Prescription for the boards USMLE step 2 is a book for quick review and thorough exam overview. It is well written, the content is updated to show the newest treatments and diagnosis protocols and it covers EVERY single topic to be asked on the exam as described by the authors in the prologue. I find this book very useful as a review source. It does not provide clinical vignetes, which would definetly give it an A+, but the material it covers is pretty much what you need for the last reading before the exam.
