I finished my step 3 yesterday. It was long and stressful. I am confident to have passed the exam... will see in 4 weeks. I have to admit that the USMLE world mcq,s were great except lacking sufficient info about prevention screening. This is about the only thing that I have done in addition to 60 CCS cases. Did not have time to do them more than once but I think once was ,hopfuly, good enough for me. As for the CCS, all my 9 cases came from the cases of usmleworld.com and all 9 finished after 8-12 minutes and never went on longer.

So if you have not been doing USMLE world questions; start doing them. This is my take on the whole thing. The real test is very similar and the difficulty is somewhat comparable. I scored 63.9 % cumulatively on the total 1230 msq.s. I pretty much started with 59, 60. 61 ie had no real improvement over the course of going over them except for the lat 3-4 blocks. I had too many ethecs, trauma, rashes and gyn questions.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE AND LIKE I HAVE HEARD IN THE PAST SAY AND IT IS THE REALITY: YOU NEED THE WORD PASS NOT 250!

I took the test. It was harder than I expected. First day the tension was high. I struggled with lots of stupid FP/ primary care IM questions. Second day was better more in pt stuff. I think USMLE world has a good reflection of difficulty, sizes, I felt that I am taking one of the USMLE Word tests (although USMLE world had some questionable questions and had few hard once too) the test is very long and stressful. CCS quits on you early in mgt. Anyway I did only usmle world msq and 30 CCS cases I think this was a good quick review.

For those of you who are wondering about scores correlation (although I believe that correlation is a poor predictor since you can have a bad day or a bad test for that matter). I scored 67.2 on UW did nothing but these questions. I finished USMLE part 2 in 1998. I well will see how I do, hope I pass I will let you know in 4-5 weeks.

The UW cases had a strange managerial order but I stuck to it anyway hopping these guys know what they are doing. I think the questions on UW are excellent many similarities on the real thing. Cases If you have not worked in the US. I strongly recommend reviewing. If you are in residency especially FP, IM, peds probably you don‘t need to review. If you are psych or surgical resident (any field) I think you need a just quick review I confidently can say that I would benefited and probably did better had finished the cases. OBGYN absolutely need to review in my opinion.

Good luck everyone

Overall this is a descent site. There are many improvements still needed for the price they charge. It is not interactive and often orders are written that cannot be used on the CCS software. The case ntroductions are too short to be representative and therefore they tend to miss some of the subtle orders. My suggestion is to split paying for access to the site and then photocopy the cases for everyone else - it will save you $50 each person.

This is an excellent source for step-3 ccs. No other source is needed. I got almost all cases from usmleworld only. Its worth for its money.
