First of all i have to say thank you very mush for all of you....Docarjun...Nuprin...Kalsam...Ahdy....Namf...and everybody! Thanks for being there whenever i needed help and support!I would say I am not a good writer as Nuprin and Ahdy so my test experience is similar as Nuprin and Ahdy's but i will point out my own opinions here! Ok...... the test was hard......but i don't mean to make you feel dishearted or anything.... but Qs were hard guys! You really have to know the stuff! You don't know what exactly gonna be tested so don't leave anything.....try to know and get from the books as much as you can! Quite equally distributed....nothing more nothing less..... I am gonna tell what i thought was hard here......MolBio Immunology Qs were detailed......also there were some drugs that i never heard of.....So i had to guess most of those unfamilar stuff they were asking........Still there some easy ones... it's so nice to see them... just like old friends! Wasn't that much of Physiology that i remember or had hard time to figure out.......ooohhh STATISTICS.... my favorite favorite one ( i just hate it) About 5qs that i have to calculate stuffs..... one q drove me crazy.... they gave two studies and have to calculate specificity...... out of two diffirent studies...... had know idae and i calculated 2 studies specificities and got the average of it and clicked it..... that was wrong of course ........ Wasn't that much Biochem..... ensyme deficiencies..... some glusoce pathways......Genetics......some detailed Qs... one Hardy...... couple of gene frequencies and possibilities......Anatomy most of them just Neuro.....try to look over some Ct and Brian MRI.....and Abdominal X ray too........ i hard hard time finding ilium from one X ray becuase it's just all wierd and can't tell which one is which......What else left?....Lastly Patho .....mostly tested subject.....i think it wasn't that bad.... at least you have to think and answer instead blindly clicking like in Molbio and immuno. So overall test was hard.......hard qs and few easy qs.... but if you work hard and know your stuff cold anyone can do it! About the timing and breaking not that much of a problem.... but i could have used few more minutes...... you get tired at the end but the thought that you are going to done with it make you get going.... so don't worry! I think i did bad....... so many qs i have to chose between two or three.... so who knows what i chosed! At least i am done for a while.... it was a quite experience...... you all will see when time comes! So i'll say study hard.....you can do it if you know well! Don't worry about the test date.... it will go just like any other day...... but know your stuff well! I am tired now.... hope my this unorganised sloppy post would help for some people........if any one have q or anything WELCOME! Thank you again for everyone....... i wish you best of luck! I was thinking of u yesterday and today...we all prayed for u so dont worry. Enjoy the days, relax, ITS OVER :lol: . I'm just waiting for the day that i can get rid of the tension that i have all day about step 1. I'm sure ur glad and free. Thank u for the hints and help. hopefully we will all get similar exams. I postponed my date to another 15 days. I did my simulated exam today and i got in the 50%!!! NOT AT ALL WHAT I EXPECTED! So i'm gonna take all of ur advice and get a little more revision in. Maybe it wont boost my score, maybe it will. But i gotta do this. I had a quetion for u...did u feel doing Goljan was worth it. I mean, should i start now? That means i have about until Aug 15-20. Depending on where i am then....should i start it? Did it help u? Answer at ur own free time. I'm gonna be working on FA and Qbank/book until then. So enjoy and take care. GOD BLESS!
docmama Forum Senior Topics: 3 Posts: 83	07/19/04 - 08:01 PM             #3 Oh, by the way, i've been studying for months now mostly q bank and FA towards the end, but after i got pregnant, my revision went really bad...with all the fatigue and phone calls in the past 1 month. My husband (IM resident) thinks that's probably the prob. Any advice??? ANYONE? I took Nuprin's advice and bought Goljan audio, but i am kind of skeptical...i mean it does take a long time.

He is good.... he is going to help you to tie things together! You can listen him, while you are walking or driving...... that's what i did at least....... i had to do my walking everyday so he was there with me..... i had to drive everyday ..... he was there with me too! He is a good teacher fun to listen too! So try it.... see if you like it.... it takes time but worth it! Do your q bank well .... know everything from q bank! Now i am thinking all that tension and anxioty i had........... it's total waste ...... DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE DAY! It's gonna be just like any other day! Just focus on your study ....your books..... don't think of anything else! I should say try not to.... because i know it almost wasn't possible for me.... and at the last 3 days...... rest your brain.......slow down your study and try to feel the upcoming freedome! I took benedrils last two nights before the test.... i was rested well for the day! I really feel for you that you are doing this with your baby..... i am very VERY proud of you even for the try for this test....... i am not even sure i would dare to do this! having baby is way tooo much for me itself.... and this hell test on top of that...... ooooh it's hard! But you know what's most important is......... definatly this test is not over your baby.... so try your best and see what happens...... don't forget the little life in you! Dont think too much about how u did.U worked hard,u did ur best.Now leave rest on God almighty! I have read lot of people's posts after exam,many saying same thing that they get confused about how they did,people get bad dreams. So dont worry,enjoy ur mangolia visit!!!! I am glad u did it!!!!And u didnt get any fatigu problem during exam! ALL THE BEST FOR THE SCORES!!!!!!!!! Relax....and have a party time!!!!!!!!!

Ria..... if you have months do Lippincott to get big picture..... if you have weeks stick with the first aid and just memorise every single letter! And from Levinson Micro and Immuno book...... it's immuno is a must! MUST! But i didn't do it's micro.... i did micro from Micro made RS.... so it's up to you! But please do Jawetz Levinson's Immuno well no matter how less time you got!! Docjes78.... my pleasure! Take care now yourself and yourbaby and your test! just don't get tooo stressed! ELM Forum Guru Topics: 28 Posts: 936	07/20/04 - 02:04 PM             #20 Nice to see you Ahdy here again...... now finally i am really start feeling that it's over for now....... i went to a beach this morning had nice lunch and swim...... now i am packing my stuff for backpacking trip to Adrinodack mountains in Northern Vermont and New-York for couple days with my hubby.....Will be back on friday and will get ready for my big trip to Asia! I am putting my study notes and books away from my disks and picking up my room .... books and papers were all over the floor.... sinse i am got gonna be using them for while at least. (may be i passed and never will use it again :| ) It's nice to feel it's really over! Guys you will too.... till then hang on there! Just the little left keep pushing! You are almost on the top.... few more steps left and you will get big price! Thank you Krampus, Ivspro, Ahdy ...... yeah Ivspro please pray for everybody! Onestly i don't care the result...... i won't regrete whatever the result is :| ....becuase i am possitive that i did all i could possibly do! If i didn't push my self 100% or didn't use all my strenth and capasity for the test it would have be diffirent... then i would be thinking ....ooh man only if i did little bit more studying instead of doing that and this....i could have done better.....for me i did all i could do.... so whatever comes that's all i could have and what i deserves the best...... God will give as what's the best for us whenever is the best time! So don't worry! Life is good.... there is ups and downs.... but it's always good! Anyway thank you guys..... and for everyone who is studying now try hard use your all strenth and power and whatever you could possibly devote for the study ..... USE IT NOW! ...so you won't regrete!
