I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the match forum. My goal had been to participate in the upcoming 2005 match, but I just got done with my step 1 not too long ago and the earliest I'll be able to take step 2 ck is september (assuming I'll be ready by then). Do you think that's too late? I'm not sure I'll be able to secure many interviews without a step 2 score- I'd appreciate advice from anyone who's in/ been through the same situation. Also, any idea when I should try to give my CS by in order to get results in time for the match- I'd like to give it at late as possible so i can prepare well but don't want to end up being late for the match. I'm wondering if I should even bother attempting this year's match and rushing through things unnecessarily.

Hey, I am in a similar situation. I took my step 1 and then rushed to take the date of CS as dates r filling up fast. They have opened up new dates, so hurry up! Step 2 CK u can manage in september I hope. I am taking in end of august. How much didya score in step 1? Thats another matter to be considered.

I only took my Step 1 two weeks ago so it's another few weeks before I get my result I guess by the time I get the results and the CS application processed it'll be too late unless I get lucky and someone drops their date or if I get prematched (yes I'm a dreamer haha).

I am appearing in step 2 ck in September, Step 2 CS in last week of Decemeber. Step 1 is already passed with 86 score. I am planning to apply for the residencies in November when my result for CK will already be released. Will recieve my CS result before the match. I am also an IMG but am not afraid of taking any rik (if exist). Hope it helps

Yes, it's always nice to know others are going through the same thing and one is not alone, thanks and best wishes. I got my step 1 result today, a lot earlier than expected and i've noticed there's still quite a few nov dates open so that makes me happy

As far as I know having the CS result doesn't have much bearing on getting interviews, just as long as you take it in time to get the result by the match. Your step 1 score was really good so that should help you get a good amount of interviews, and having a strong personal statement is supposed to help a lot too.
