has anyone of you noticed the Ig structure in fa 2003 edition? they have the constant heavy chain outside vs. the structure in kaplan 2002 (the heavy chain is inside). does anyone of you know which one is it? it pretty much affects everything if the questions has something to do with where each one is.

heavy chain is to teh outside of the light chain (ref jawetz and kaplan)

it does not really matter...i had such q on the exam..it showed the AB and the Light chain to outside...the q was asking to identify the sequence of the prespliced DNA, ready to translate. All you had to do is to pay attention which portion of AB had bonds and which did not. A little confusing..but no big deal.
