hi guys, i was actually planning to take NBME today,but the site was down and couldnt,i did Kaplan simulated exam and got a score of 63%,well,i have 2 weeks left for my exam,getting scared,can someone tell me the exact correlation of Kaplan simulated with the real exam,

i did like you yestarday, i have 63 % !!!!!!! i think is well, i go for my exam in one week. but i did not have correlation, friend of mine have done it, he scores 73% and he scored 99 in real exam!!!

thanks ghizou for replying,even my exam is on July 31st,i think after soem revision,we can score a bit higher,all the best for ur exam.

ghizou, when did your friend take the exam? i heard that you can add 15 to get your percentage (not 2 digit score) on the real thing. don't think that's terribly accurate,though. kaplan says you should score at least 60 before they recommend you take it in order to safely pass. most people at my school score in the 60s on the simulated and the usmle avg is about 5-10 points above avg on the 3 digit score.

My husband scored 64% on the simulated exam and got a 90% on the actual step 1. But that was 1 yr ago...he's a resident now. Hope that helps boost ur confidence!!
