Good afternoon everyone. I just received my scores a few days ago.

238/96

I am confused as to how to interpret these because different sources have different magic numbers. From what I've read, I am generally happy for my scores. Are these scores indeed good? If they are, what for? Thanks very much in advance!

Thanks. However, the 2 digit score. Is that the percentile? I read that it wasn't but some people are referring to it as.

  #5

you're doing great! :icon_bounce:

what you need to pass: 182/75

congratulations! grin/

two digit isn't percentile. the percentile is a mystery known only to the nbme. from what i've gathered, it takes about 80-85% correct to get a 99.

img or no, this score is fabulous! you've got no worries, unless you plan on doing a super competitive residency (derm, ent, etc.) or something at a #1 ranked program with 4 positions open. what matters most is your 3rd year grades (particularly in the field you want to enter) and your letters of recommendation.

congrats! when did you take your exam? i'm still waiting...
