bassini's - Herniotomy + herniorapphy with conjoint tendon stitched to Inguinal ligament.Strenghtens the posterior wall of inguinal canal.A relaxing incision is also given in rectus sheath called as Tanner's slide procedure.Characteristically spermatic cord lies superficial to repair. Its a fantastic repair that utilizes patients own rectus sheath instead to a mesh(dacron). Mercy repair-I cannot recollect / will see in book Spigelian hernia- hernia along the spigilian line -point of transition of transversus abdominis to rectus sheath. dmnz
