Well your chances are low but if I were you ( 1 point of the passing score) I would do it. I think it costs 50 dollars.
Good luck.

does any one know the process of rechecking ?
has any one improved their score with this process?

You may already know that once you pass the exam you can't retake it. So passing just barely can possibly work against you. The exams are the only level playing field for all students - if you happen to be an IMG then it's even more important to get a good score. If you want to be sure you can compete for a decent residency it would be much more worth it for you to really study harder and do much better by taking the exam again than settling for a low score.

DAMN. tzn, I am sorry for your nightmarish misfortune. 1 F**KING POINT ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

I pray you get redemtion from rescoring (which, by the way, seems like some EVIL BS. I mean, if they rescore you as actually at 182, and then you pass...CAN'T YOU SUE THOSE A$$holes? Or is it just a money grab to add insult to injury for almost all those who scored 181 and 180--knowing full well as they extend this offer to you that they are just taking your money when all along they know their computers couldn't have miscalculated...

I am so sorry for your misfortune. If you are that close, you should just be given a passing grade based on the NBME being human. But...they're apparently not, which explains a lot...

It also means to me that if you got 181, you can definitely get 182 and more next test.

Again, so sorry for this. Hang tough, I will pray for you

thanks Toroloco, Knights of Nee, namf for your responce.

when I took the exam I felt like I had done well, and now getting this type of score is just frustrating. I spent close to 6 months preparing for this, and now every time I look at the books it's nauseating. I agree even ""IF"" I get that one point I would have just passed with 75% .........but man I just want to get on with my life. Or may be it's good I didn't pass this time, hopefully next time I can get a better score.

well I guess it's time to hit the books once more... I used the 1st aid and kaplan notes and question book....is there any thing else for me to do?

If you aren't using them already - Goljan audio (available free somewhere on this webpage - try doing a search) and the Kaplan online Q-bank are the two things that everyone recommends.
