what r the indications and adverse effects ?

Prochlorperazine is phenothiazine type of drug.
Exerts an antiemetic effect through a depressant action on the chemoreceptor trigger zone.
Also antipsychotic effect.

Indications-:
Nausea and vomiting caused by radiation therapy, cancer chemotherapy, surgery, and other conditions.
Psychotic disorders to reduce the smptoms like hallucinations and hostility.

Adverse effects-
Drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision
skin reactions
hypotension
Cholestatic jaundice
Leukopenia and agranulocytosis
and most important are the.....

Neuromuscular (Extrapyramidal) REACTIONS

not used as an anti-psychotic anymore; out-dated.
