But why would you change from an H-b visa to a J-1 visa - wouldn't you get an H-1b clinical visa????

Hi,

Will you please let me know how easy is it to get a waiver on J1 research visa? So what are the preconditions?

Do you think research experience will help anyway in getting a residency?

I am planning to go on a postdoc program but i am feeling quite frustated seeing residencies asking continuation of clinical experience.

Can I go for step 3 while on J1 research visa?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi,
I am in the same situation... I had a J1 research visa, got the waiver, now I am in H1B visa. I read that once you get the waiver you can not apply to J1 again before stay out of US for 12 months. So, I am not totally sure that if need, I can go back to J1 clinical visa.
Does anyone know if it is really possible?
Thanks
