I JUST TOOK THE STEP 1 AND I FAILED AGAIN THIS MY THIRD TIME. I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD CONTINUE WITH THIS. I ALREALDY PASSED STEP 2 IN MY THRID TRY , I KNOW THAT MY POSSIBILITIES TO GET INTO A MEDICAL RESIDENCY ARE FEW BUT I DON'T KNOW DO I SHOULD CONTINUE OR CHANGE MY GOLDS. PLEASE IF SOME BODY HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE REPLAY OR IF SOMEBODY WHO WANTS TO GIVE SOME ADVICE OR HOPE IS VERY WELCOME.

i know it is very difficult , especially when you have put all your effort into studying and get a failing grade. I really recommend that you donot give up . I have known IMG who have taken the exam five times and have finished their residency. It is true it will be harder to get into a residency, but not impossible. Have confidence in yourself and most of all faith ion GOd. As i mentioned to someone else , donot give up yet, victory could be right around the corner.

Do not give up!!!
Do not give up those goals! If neccessary pay for a tutor but do not give up!
You have proven to yourself of capable of passing it, you pass step 2 already. Look at your weak points and work on those maybe oyu need to get different review books.

HI,
I think you could figure out the reason for that. THere must be some reason!
I know an IMG who got 92 for step 1 after 9 months hard learning.
She graduated in 1989 and did research in medical field for 9 years.

MEL...do not give up..no matter what it is..everybody is doing it, in this forum as u have seen so many have done it.. so can you!!!
Go thru exam experiences of successfull people here in this forum..figure it out how it can work best for you..as well!
Its the same books, same knowledge..same people..no one is different..but we all differ in our committment, consistency..and hard work..
Keep up the morale..ur self esteem..and go for it!!

I agree--don't give up!!! tell us how you prepared for step 1 and maybe we can offer an opinion on what you can do differently. with determination, hard work, consistency, and persistence, you WILL pass this exam and you WILL get a residency! have faith!

I studied with the kapaln web preparation and the home kit preparation for step 1. Also, I reviewed the first aid.

DO YOU THINK THAT I SHOUD TAKE THE LIVE LECTURES AT KAPLAN? THEY LECTURES INCLUDE ANATOMY, PHISIOLOGY,BS,PATOLOGY MICRO/INMU ,BQ, AND GENETICS.
I tried to download the Goljan adudio at coolgoose.com but I couldn't . Can you tell me What can I do. I really appreciate your help.

what happened when you tried to download?
i hear kaplan live is good for some subjects but not others. not having seen them myself, i don't know which to recommend.
goljan, however, is invaluable. definitely will try to help you get it.
