yes we will start..i will also post in this .....

mongolian spots are well defined and have blue or gray color...

more common in presacral area...(though can occur anywhere)..

childabuse , will fade in to surrounding area..(borders not well defined) and have variable color..

2.how would u differentiate erythema toxicum from SSSS ?

erythema toxicum ....has eosiophils...

SSSS has, neutrophils

any other difference asma? :roll:

yeah ..also child looks ill in SSSS..
erythema toxicum is completely bengn and child looks normal

yeh the infant looks very ill in SSSS and is well in erythema toxicum.

yes... i mean though strawberry angiomas are capillary hemangiomas and regress spontaneously....they can cause amblyopia when they involve eyelids :roll:

ye, and also if they involve glottis ( subglottic hemagioma)..causing stridor

i think about jaundice what kaplan has mentioned is wrong...
i remember cephalhematoma ass with jaundice(becos blood collection) :roll:

TORCH inf , in them rubella can cause congenital cataract...

also retinoblastoma....

and retrolental fibroplasia...

cephalhematoma : :arrow: subperosteal bleeding , doesnot cross sutures ,resolve on its own in months .
caput succ : swelling of scalp due to pressure in labour/delivery ,crosses suture lines , resolves in days

I heard in kaplan video's also ,they say caput is assoc with jaundice .Lets find it out later .
