Vignettes are VERY GOOD additions to review books because they correlate stuff you learn in review books to actual questions in the exam.... the BEST way i think is to get both and just go through ucv ONCE after the mrs book... You can get the ucv books used pretty cheap from amazon... but ucv can't replace review books...

Get the Lange review book. I just took micro and let me tell you it has everything that you will ever need to know in micro. And it is explained well. But use something else too cuz it does have a few mistakes in it. Also it may gloss over some stuff like fungi. Good luck. Just read that book and you should do very well.
