:arrow: measure stool electrolytes .
Serum osmolality :290 mOsm/L ...If its secretory
>50 mOsms/L..if osmotic

secretory
usually hormone mediated. e.g

carcinoid syndrome,zollinger ellison ,VIPomas.
irritative laxatives.

osmotic.
lactose intolerance, nontropical sprue, milk of magnesia.

don't forget Cholera for secretory :-)
