hello there everyone:
to begin with, i was not aware of such thing as prep4usmle,usmleforum, etc....etc.....i have already tried twice for the step 1, and both times turned out to be bad luck. anyways, now that i know how to approah it, i will dedicate my full time studying day and night. i don't have any obstacles like children, marriage, i am alone, but also have my parents who supports me both financially and emotionally. i would recomened anyone who is going to take step 1 to study intense, meaning as meg said....Kaplan, FA, Other books(BRS patho, PHY, Pharm), qbank and more. the thing is a lot of student do not know what to study and how to study for the exam. and if we have some forum like prep4usmle; that would help our medical community a lot. Don't ever listen to your buddies or friends when they tell you to study jut FA, and qbank. this is what happened to me, but i never beleived them to begin with. i always knew that there is something like this; so i had to spend about 5 hours before i found out how to approach at step1. i think we need to make a list and post here somplace as to tell everyone what to study in a timely manner. i was very close to getting into live courses, but then i backed out because of the cost and of course if one can do it; anyone can do it too. we just need to be discipline and study everyday, day and night. i think passing step1 is do able; but we all need to know is what exactly we need to study. after reading to so many post by meg; i was really inspired by her. Meg i don't know you; but whenever you read my post i would really like to thank you very much........that's all
