I took my step 1 last tuesday after spending 8 months preparing for the exam. Went through Kaplan notes, Q-book, Q-Bank and Goljan Audio lectures. My first block of the exam was a disaster esp the first half, the others were Ok or rather say 'average'. Later that day I recalled making some agonizing silly mistakes that I wouldn't have made normally. Now I'm really scared to death thinking about all the silly mistakes and the so called "experimental", "unscored" question and how they're gonna effect my score!?!?!? I feel my soul can't rest until the score comes....has any examinee here passed through similar worries after their exam and got a relieveing score at the end. I'd be glad to hear any of your experiences. Peace,

relax frodo, I think everybody has felt the same, specially in the first block, but you have prepared yourself well, and your odds to pass are greater than faill, you will see, I had a similar sensation after the test, I don't have the score yet, but I did the oasis trick and i passed ( hope don't be a mistake)

hi frodo.my exam was just like yours.my first block was horrible.i remembered about 8 silly mistakes that i would not normally have made,very simple questions that i missed for some reason.i felt terrible and i kept on tormenting myself for them.the worst part was that i felt they could not be experimental cos they were too simple.but i still scored 91.not too brilliant i know but more than enough to do pathology residency which is what i want.so relax.the mistakes may bring down the score a little bit but not too much cos u never can tell how well u made up for them in other questions.wish you all the best.

Rida ....i am giving you link about oasis trick
i havent given exam yet....so reat all questions i cant answer.But for sure i can say...u can try this trick only after the oasis shows that ur score has been reported..not before that!

hey frodo! don't worry. we all go through the same thing!! the best thing is to forget about it until the time comes. even the highest scorers make stupid errors!

i too had similiar experience. i just took exam. i recalled 200 questions i got in test and i think 120 r surely right while 15 r definitely wrong and rest i m unable to figure out coz i m unable to recall the question stem clearly.i m feeling anxious

All who already gave their exam!! pls help the new people like me :oops: !!
pls guys just share the exam ques so far how u guys can recall ...
and pls give me some advice how i can prepare myself..
i m new here and i m an IMG , just start to prepare for the exam..
and u know guys i worked part time for 4/5 months then save some money and so with that money now apllying for exam...
and i m not able to take any course ..
just studying at home from kaplan ... and taking help from library ..
so guys pls help me ...
pls share exam experience and questions and which subject u guys find hard..and which subject they r giving more priority?
and are kaplan books enough for this exam?
