the kaplan question is if there is a pt with PUD and not taking any medication whats the next step to do ? I think a serology for Hpylori.
If positive, it can be confirmed with biopsy (if needed).

Lucky,
That kaplan Q ..was about pt coming with new onset of epigastric pain and his evaluation...later doc found that its PUD by doing barium /EGD...then go for serological test/urea breath test to confirm H'pylori..and last q was after 4 weeks of treatment ,if you are evaluating the pt..what test u do..and its urea breath test .

Serology is used to confirm Hpylori
Urea breath test is used to follow up the Rx.
Am I correct?
