jus cannot figure out that if ketoconazole inhibits steroid hormone synthesis..inhibiting testosterone synthesis...why is estrogen synthesis not inhibited ...since we know estrogen z derived from testosterone only via aromatase...
so how does estrogen rise..causing gynecomastia..??
plzz...help..

hey okay..just found in wikipedia dat estrone can be synthesized directly from androstenedione.... so may be ketconazole inhibits conversion of androsten. to testo....but not androstene. to estrogen via aromatase.. ??
