Hi, I am planning to take my first step in this fall in Bucharest. I am from CLuj. Anybody in the same shoes in Cluj?
I have a question. Somebody told me that Romanian step taker can pay at US embassy, is it right?

Well I meant the exam fee. Can I pay through a banc card(through internet), if so what kind is accepted?(visa card, master card...)

You can apply and pay online at ECFMG Interactive Web Application.
The address is http://iwa.ecfmg.org/.
They accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards.

Hi there. I am also from cluj. i'm curently in chiccago and when i'll be home in cluj for the 5th medical year i want to start to study for the exam. We should keep in touch and maybe help eachother.
I have aquestion. how much do we have to pay for the Step ! examination at prometric test center inBucharest. I asked them and they elusive.

i red a lot of stories dfrom some asians guys...telling that they were rejetced the visa
also i want to know usually how long a visa like this lasts?

and all the other:
don't you agree that the anatomy that is required for USMLE is less than 1 % than the one that we were required to know while we were in the 1st year? (I'm talking expecially about those who took anatomy with Sido)
or am I wrong? I didn't start reviewing ana. yet, but I wanted to read it from gray's and just pass through high yield after i'll be finished but i don't think that's suck a good idea... what do you think?

I agree Manu, the anatomy for usmle is let's say 20% of what we learn during first 2 years of med school but believe me is the high yield material that will still be in your head after years and not vanished like it happened here. everything is seen from a clinical perspective, what if you fall in your head, what if you cut your hand in that particular place, what if ..so, yes ,for you being still student I think is a piece of cake to remember anatomy but my advice is to learn cold the high yield topics from anatomy (you find them in kaplan.) Good luck friends!
