I doubt this was the case in its complete form....there are definitely some points missing there....like
sex, risk factors, duration, symptoms..like RUQ pain, xanthelasma, ........etc...

With whatever is in this case cld barely suggest this diagnosis....
I mean...well....I wld go for Biliary cirrhosis....just because of the age though nothing else......

even though Hepatocellular carcinoma might present at that age.....

Hey rinks....... as delusional said, we need more detailsas to diagnose it correctly. But since u r mentioning rise in alk. phos. it is an obstructive jaundice,(though coexistent GGT rise also shud've been there to proove it's liver origin), so, i wud go for biliary cirrhosis or cholangio ca. But again, as the age is not that supprortive for cholangio ca. i wudgo for biliary cirrhosis................ grin grin grin
