1) local physiological atrophy
- in newborn ...... atrophy of the adrenal cortex
- after puberty .... atrophy of thymus and tonsill
-after lactation .... atrophy of breasts
-after pregnancy --- atrophy of uterus
-posmenopausal .... atrophy of breasts and genital organs ....
