I just got my score, 228/92. Does anyone know if this is good for a Surgery residency for an IMG. And please be honest. Thanks in advance. I have a 4.0 through basic sciences and want to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Look your score is very good, but cardiothoracic surg is tough, principally because most programs want to admit the US students first. There are enough of them who want it to make getting it as an IMG very tough indeed. But there are ways around this. Most of getting a residency is a function of who you have supporting you. In other words, you need conections. I know IMGs who get CTS and ortho and even neurosurg. All of them had stellar scores and connections to boot. If you don't have connections, you have to go about getting some. You can do clinical rotations through US hospitals and try to really wow them. You can try and do research in the field and make them believe you will be a world class academician. You can even try and get a residency in something else first, and then go back. That might be your best bet. There are lots of ways to pull this off, but none are easy. It has been done in the past, and it will continue to be done in the future. Try your best and don't lose hope. But also don't be heart broken if you don't get it. I even know one guy who redid his med school again here in the US. There's always a way.
