What have you been doing all these years. I know people who have come to the US for residency many years later. If you have done residency in your home country, you can also directly apply to fellowship. I knew a 40 y/o Indian who had done his Pedi residency in India, then went to UK for MRCP and eventually came to US. He did fine. It does get harder though when you are older. Maybe you should remind the programs that age discrimination is illegal in the US.
