The two closest to Bulgaria Prometric test centers are Thessaloniki, Greece and Bucharest, Roumania!
Although there is a Prometric center in Sofia - Alexandar Stamboliiski Blvd., Fullbright Foundation - it DOES NOT host USMLE for unknown reason! 
I've been in Thessaloniki for Step 1 but I'd like to know something about Bucharest center! I plan to go there for Step 2! If somebody has been there - please share experiences!!!!
For those who want to go to Tessaloniki - it's fine, the center is located in the center of the city and the presonel is very friendly! It's a very small center (only a bunch of PC) and this is great for there is no noise and crowd! The major disadvantige is that the stay in Greece is a bit EXPENSIVE for most of the Bulgarians I guess... especially in the summer!!! It's the EC afterall!
I can't compare it to other centers but anyone of you may have a different experience so share!!!!

In Bucharest Step 1 and Step 2 can be taken at IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board).
The center is located at 1-11, Economu Cezărescu St., apart. 1, near the Grozăvesti underground station, in the AYASH building. I used to live in the students campus which is only few hundred yards away from this AYASH building 8)
