how long does aspirin stay in the blood stream?

This might give an idea:

The plasma half-life of aspirin is almost 15 minutes. It changes to salicylic acid which has a half-life of 3 hours. However both these are also dose-dependent.

Aspirin 'irreversibly' blocks the platelets. After stopping aspirin, it takes 5-6 days for formation of new platelets and restoration bleeding profile to normal.
